TPC Desktop 2011 – 08/29/13 release (v11.6.082913) (Final Version). Installs a new copy.You will need to uninstall your current version through the Windows Control Panel to install this update. See Readme.txt for details.
Note: The version number we list here is the version number you can find inside Traverse PC. You can find it by going to the TPC License section of the Tasks Manager or by choosing Help | About TPC Desktop. (The version number you see in the Windows Control Panel Programs and Features is not the same thing.)
Traverse PC PDF – Only Needed if Not Already Installed – our own PDF driver. Save the zip file, extract all files and then run the RunSetup.exe file to install.
Note: You do not need to install this if you already have the Traverse PC PDF driver installed.
.NET 3.5 – If you get a “Missing DLL” error when you run TPC, you may need to update .NET on your computer.
License Server – Network Licenses Only – If you are managing a TPC Network license, download, unzip and install the NLS (Network License Server) programs described in the License Guide You can also download the License Server Tools
Traverse PC’s License Agreement has always stated that licensees are limited to two computers such as office and home or office and field and that agreement has not changed. What has changed in TPC Desktop 2011 is that the installation keys we provide allow the program to run on a single computer only (or on a specific number of computers in the case of multi-user licenses). Users now have to request a second installation key to validate the program on a second computer.
Prior to TPC Desktop 2011, the licensee could install the program on as many computers as they chose to and the program would run. When we found out that a licensee was violating the license agreement, we informed them that they were in violation of the agreement and gently tried to persuade them to honor it. We then left it on the honor system for compliance. With TPC Desktop 2011, we are no longer leaving it on the honor system and have instituted a new validation routine to limit software piracy.

You can request a courtesy license so that you can install Traverse PC on a second computer (home computer, laptop you take into the field, etc.). You can then run Traverse PC on either computer as needed. But remember, this is a single user license. Allowing two people to run a single user license of Traverse PC on two computers at the same time is a violation of the license agreement.
As of 7/31/14, Traverse PC will no longer support this version
This means that we will stop providing maintenance updates and technical support for this version. This version includes code specific to Windows XP, which Microsoft dropped support for in April, 2014. We no longer maintain Windows XP computers for software development or testing.
