Overriding Point Symbols

By default, TPC assigns a point symbol for a survey point referenced in a drawing based on either the Drawing Settings of the drawing or the Traverse Drawing Settings of the traverse that draws the point. To modify the point symbol, you would modify the appropriate settings or the symbol itself. If you were to include the point in another drawing, you have to repeat this process if you wanted the symbol to be the same in both drawings.

Now you can specify a point symbol / size / rotation to be used for a survey point, regardless of the Drawing or Traverse Drawing Settings. You specify the symbol via the Survey Point Properties dialog.

If you specify a point symbol / size / rotation for a point, that point will be displayed with those properties in any drawing that references it.
