Exporting Surfaces

TPC's surfaces are automatically exported to a CAD file if they are used in the drawing being exported. Each surface included in the exported drawing will create its own surface in the CAD file.

Exporting to AutoCAD

TPC exports each surface as a PolyFaceMesh. These include all the points (vertices) used by the surface and a face for each triangle created by the TIN.

The surface name and description are not exported.

Exporting to Bentley

TPC exports each surface as a MeshFaceLoop. These include all the points (vertices) used by the surface and a face for each triangle created by the TIN.

The surface name and description are not exported.

Exporting Contours

Contours are exported to a CAD file only if they are drawn in the drawing. So you could have contours turned off or their layers frozen in a drawing so that you don't see them and TPC will still export the surface because it is included in the drawing.
