Traverse PC has been providing land surveying software since 1987. Here's what some of our users have to say:
'I did not realize
at the time I purchased the program that I was not only buying software, but I had purchased a company that truly cares about its customers and could "look over my shoulder" to personally help me be a successful user.' Jim Sollmi, PELS, Farmington, CT
"Probably the most cost effective and efficient surveying and mapping software I have used over the past 25 years hands down!" Charles E. Porter, Kirkland, WA
"The economics are simple. Without Traverse PC our company would not have this lucrative contract." Bob Holtkamp, AB, Canada
"Traverse PC is one of the best." Gordon Bell, IN
"The last 22 years I have previewed numerous COGO software programs, but have never found anything close to Traverse PC, and with the ability to draft maps, the program is complete." Pete Ketcham, ID
"TPC Desktop is more impressive than any AutoCAD version that I have ever used." Bryan Hartsook, VA
"I really like a point based program like TPC and the friendly drawing environment that TPC has. There is no need for a lot of extensive/expensive training to do good, efficient work with TPC." Glenn Eastman, OR
"I cannot say enough about the Managers in TPC 2010... What a super great system!!! TPC will surely dominate all survey and CAD programs..." Jim Creasy, PA
"Traverse PC also includes the best, most personal, technical support we have ever seen in 26 years of surveying." Keith A. Heindel & Gary J. Ganjon, MD
"As a former CAD user, I have found the versatility and ease of use of Traverse PC to be a great benefit to my business." Dan Barry, NY
"[Traverse PC] is easier to use, less expensive, gets the job done, and comes from caring people who understand surveying and surveying needs." Joe Nachtrieb, CO

Traverse PC - Version 9.0
Released Feb 2006
Enhanced AutoCAD Support
R10 - R2006
Version 9.0 reads and writes R10 to R2006 DWG / DXF files.
AutoDesk has announced it is dropping support for R2000 / R2002 in January of 2006. Only R2004 and higher will be supported after that time.
Version 9.0 extends its DWG compatibility backwards to R10 to accommodate those users who still need to interface with Softdesk DCA files, which a number of Traverse PC users have requested support for.
Faster Image Support
Version 9.0 now supports faster images when importing and exporting DWG files (DWF is also supported on export). You can now use a background image or vicinity map in any TPC drawing and export it to CAD.
Microstation V7 / V8 DGN
Version 8.0 reads DGN V7 / V8 files and writes V8 files. DGN is the drawing format used by Bentley products and MicroStation. They store drawing information much like AutoDesk's DWG files.
File Import / Export
Topcon GTS Files - Read data files directly from your Topcon GTS total station. You'll get raw angles and distances along with control points, side shots, instrument & target height.
SMI Jett CE Files - Transfer your Jett CE files with ActiveSync then read them right into TPC Desktop.
Adobe PDF Support
Write a PDF file from any view, including your drawings. There are millions of copies of Acrobat Reader out there which can be downloaded FREE. PDF documents are viewable on Windows and non-Windows platforms alike. The PDF files add more muscle to TPC's Universal Map Sharing (UMS).
New Coordinate Table - Now you can include the coordinates and/or latitude and longitude of points used in your drawing. Got a lot of points - specify multiple columns.
Multiple Columns - Break any table into multiple columns with Version 9.0. Just tell TPC how many columns you want for each table.
Version 9.0 uses HTML help to bring you the easiest way yet to get the help you need when you need it. One of the best things about HTML help is adding topics to your Favorites menu. View your TPC help topics just by opening your browser.
Version 9 adds drawing codes so you can turn your field data into a map, even without point codes. Begin or end a line, draw a figure, draw a rectangle or fit a curve. Drawing codes aren't for everyone, but if you use them on your data collector, you can use them in TPC Desktop Version 9.
Other Version 9 extras include moving multiple traverses in Quick View, leading zeros in bearing labels, distance units in line tables, improved closure reporting in the Closure View, expanded support for Trimble RTK data records and more.
We have also renamed the Real Estate Edition to Property Edition to better reflect its use in mapping property deed descriptions.
