The Surfaces Manager manages the surfaces in the survey. Use the Surfaces Manager to organize your surfaces and include the surfaces you want in the drawings you want them in.
•To open the Surfaces Manager, choose Manage | Surfaces from the desktop menu.
Creating a Surface
•To create a new surface, double-click any blank line in the Surfaces Manager or choose Tools | Insert New Surface and choose one of the insert options like Append to End.
TPC opens the Surface Settings dialog and gives the surface a new name like Surface 2. Go ahead and choose the options you want for this surface then choose OK when you are finished.
Duplicating an Existing Surface
•Select the surface you want to duplicate and choose Tools | Duplicate Surface.
TPC opens the Surface Settings dialog for the duplicate surface. Go ahead and choose the options you want for this surface then choose OK when you are finished.
Editing an Existing Surface
•Double-click an existing surface or select it and choose Tools | Surface Properties.
Adding a Surface to a Drawing
•To include a surface in the current drawing, tag it. See Tagging Items.
•To remove a surface from the current drawing, untag it.
Clipboard
•Copy Row
oCopies the selected row into your computer's copy / paste clipboard. Columns are seperated by commas
•Copy Rows Before Row
oCopies all the rows before the selected row into your computer's copy / paste clipboard. Each row has its own line. Columns are seperated by commas
•Copy Rows After Row
oCopies all the rows after the selected row into your computer's copy / paste clipboard. Each row has its own line. Columns are seperated by commas
•Copy Selected Rows
oCopies all the selected rows into your computer's copy / paste clipboard (Use Control-V to paste). Each row in the column has its own line.
•Copy Column
oCopies all the rows of a selected column into your computer's copy / paste clipboard. Each row in the column has its own line.
•Copy Selected Columns
oCopies all the selected rows of a selected column into your computer's copy / paste clipboard (Use Control-V to paste). Each row in the column has its own line.
•Copy Current Cell
oCopies the selected cell into your computer's copy / paste clipboard.
Initially, a tagged surface is drawn with it's Surface Settings. However, you can tell a surface that you want to use settings that are unique to a particular drawing allowing you to retain the surfaces settings in other drawings that use it.
