Beeps (program sounds)

 

 

 

 

TPC uses Windows sounds (beeps) to notify you of certain events in the program.  You can turn these off if you want.

System Beeps (2:19)


Control Beeps For

Information

TPC uses the Windows Asterisk sound to notify you that it completed something you asked it to do or to prompt you for more information.

Warnings

TP uses the Windows Exclamation sound to notify you when it wasn't able to complete a task they way it should have.  This sound often accompanies a prompt, asking if you want to accept the outcome or change it.

Errors

TPC use the Windows Program Error sound when an error occurs. This sound often accompanies a prompt, asking if you want to accept the outcome or change it.


Turning Beeps On or Off

You turn beeps on or off in the Miscellaneous Dialog.

From the TPC Desktop, choose Tools | Program Settings and select the Miscellaneous tab.

In the System Beeps group, turn beeps on or off.


Windows Sounds

You have additional control over the beeps TPC uses in the Windows Sounds dialog available from the Windows, Control Panel.

Changes you make to sounds here, affect how that sound is played system wide.
