ParticipantMark,
Since updating to TPC 2019 earlier this morning, and subsequently uninstalling my old 2017 version, I am unable to add additional traverses to my existing Tpc file.
Help! I don’t know if additional steps have been added or what is going on! The import APPEARS to go through correctly but then when I search for the new traverse file
in the traverse manager, the new file that typically shows up as an untagged traverse eludes me. If I am unable to add additional points to my file, I need to be able
to reinstall TPC 2017 and get back into production. Any help mucho appreciated, Mark!
Also, you asked that I attach the file (which is a simple .txt file) to this thing and I don’t see how to do that. I will reply it back to you via email. - May 30, 2019 at 11:39 am #42719

InactiveHi Jay,
It sounds like you need to go to the import settings before you do the import. I am guessing that the points are being imported into the file but that you do not have Add Points to Traverse turned on in the import settings. At the import dialog box, click the gear icon to the right of the file type to access the import settings for that file type. Note that there is also another new option that allows you to have TPC automatically create a new drawing of the imported data. Please let us know if this isn’t the solution to your issue.

ParticipantSorry, Mark! I’m a dummy. Panicked and didn’t use my head! Right on as usual. Thanks!

InactiveThanks Jay,
You aren’t a dummy though. These things happen to all of us.
