TPC stores point codes in a point code file with the file extension PCT.
•Each survey can have one point code file (i.e. JOB1.TRV is the survey file and JOB1.PCT is the point code file).
•Each time you exit the Point Codes Manager, when you choose Tools | Save Codes from the Point Codes Manager and when you close a survey, TPC updates the point code file with the current point codes.
A Survey's Point Codes
In TPC, a survey keeps track of its own point codes in a .pct file with the same name as the survey. When you save a survey, TPC saves the survey's PCT file also, if any point codes have been added, deleted or modified.
See A Survey's Point Codes.
