Setting Survey Point Properties

One of the simplest uses of point codes is to Override Point Symbols regardless of which traverses a point is included in, it will always be drawn the same way in all drawings.

TPC assigns the Control Point Symbol and Size from the Point Code's Traverse Drawing Settings to the survey points that use that code.

To Set the Survey Point Properties Manually

•select the codes you want to work with and choose Tools | Set Survey Point Properties.

TPC visits every survey point in the survey.  If a survey point contains one of the selected codes, it's point symbol is overridden.

To Set the Survey Point Properties Automatically

•In the Point Code Properties dialog, choose [X] Set Survey Point Symbol and Size.

Once set, TPC will update the properties of a survey point it adds to a traverse using point codes.

Using a Point Code to Remove Point Symbol Override

If you have overridden point symbols using point codes, you can remove the override as follows

•Set the symbol for the Control Point in the Traverse Drawing Settings for any point code to None.

•Use the Tools | Set Survey Point Properties to update any survey points that use that code

•Their point symbol override will be set to None, canceling the override.
