Customizing Tables

Traverse PC provides several methods of customizing drawing tables and reusing the table you want, when you want.

Drawing Tables Saved Settings (5:15) - Learn 3 ways to work with drawing table settings to get the table styles you want when you want them.

Table Properties

Tables have properties (settings) for text, color, border, column sequence and lots more.

See Table Properties.

Editing Column Names

You can edit the column names used for any table in TPC.  If you want to change the BEARING column in a curve table to CHORD BEARING, you can.

See Editing Column Names.

Saving & Recalling Table Settings

You can save and recall named table settings.  TPC keeps a list of settings for each table type (Line, Curve, Lot, Point), allowing you to change an existing table to a saved setting just by recalling that setting in the Table Properties dialog.

See Saving & Recalling Table Settings.

Saving Tables in Drawing Templates

If you want to retain table properties, including any column names you have changed, consider adding that table to a drawing template.  See Drawing Templates.

Each time you start a drawing with that template, it will include the tables you have saved in it.

Sticky Table Settings

TPC stores the properties you last edited for each table type in the registry.  If you insert a table into a drawing, TPC reads the properties for that table type from the registry and displays them in the Table Properties dialog.  You can use them as is, or modify them for the table you are inserting.
