Calibration Associations

When you calibrate data from a file, like an imported DWG CAD file, TPC associates that calibration with that file. If you open that CAD file in TPC's CAD View, TPC will automatically calibrate data you share between the CAD View and the Drawing View. You can also reuse calibrations when you re-import that same file.

Calibration Association (5:36) - Associating a DWG file with a calibration lets us work seamlessly between the Drawing View and the CAD file.

XReferences

When you calibrate an XReference to your survey, TPC automatically adds the referenced CAD file to that calibration's associated files.

This is critical for XReferences because they are free to update themselves, called reloading, whenever their referenced file changes.

This also makes it handy to insert that same XReference into any number of TPC's drawings, because when you do, TPC will see that the referenced file is associated with a calibration and ask if you want to use it.

Calibration Associations are Stored with the Calibration

Files associated with a calibration are stored in the calibration file. That calibration can then be used to calibrate the reference file to any survey that uses that calibration.

Editing Associations

Edit the calibration and open the Reference Files tab.
