Using ArcGIS My Map

ArcGIS My Map is a free web browser app you can use to view shape files you export from TPC.

My Map available at https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html.

In the example here, we've exported the lots from the sample Subdivision survey as polygons and imported them into ArcGIS My Map.

Import TPC's Shape Files

To import a shape file exported from TPC in ArcGIS My Map

•Choose Add | Add Layer from File

•Select the .zip file for the shape file you exported

•Turn on the (x) Keep original features option

•Choose IMPORT LAYER

ArcGIS My Map will zoom to the geographic location the shape file was imported to.

Import Options

ArcGIS My Map has optimizations for web display that may alter how the shapes exported from TPC are displayed.  In particular, it may omit some verticies from the polygons.

To avoid this, and display the shapes properly, turn on the (x) Keep original features option before you import.
