The Drawing Data Manager (DDM) lets you work with stored calibrations, but not ad-hoc calibrations. Stored calibrations can be Uncalibrated, while ad-hoc calibrations can only be undone via their Drawing View undo command.
Stored calibrations can be used to calibrate any number of survey and drawing objects. For example, you could calibrated an imported ASCII file and an imported XReference with the same calibration.
The imported ASCII file calibration affects the created survey points which can not be Uncalibrated in the DDM because they are not drawing objects.
However, the XReference calibration affects drawing objects so it can be Uncalibrated in the DDM.
Calibrating Objects on Layers
•Expand any layer to show its objects
•Right-click the object you want to calibrate and choose Calibrate....
•Select the calibration options you want and calibrate the traverse.
•TPC redraws the drawing with the calibrated traverse.
Calibrating a traverse involves calibrating survey data not drawing data. So that calibration will not be listed in the Calibrations node of the DDM unless it also calibrates some drawing objects.
To Uncalibrate the traverse, right-click it and choose Uncalibrate.
Uncalibrating a Calibration
You can also Uncalibrate any calibration listed in the Calibrations node of the DDM. Doing so, will Uncalibrate only those drawing objects that are currently calibrated by that calibration. If they are all Uncalibrated, TPC will been remove that calibration from the DDM.
Calibration Tools
You can calibrate and Uncalibrate both survey data and drawing objects from the Drawing Data Manager using the calibration tools. This is the preferred method if you have imported data based on a coordinate system that is a long way away from your survey. A Zoom Extents might just create two dots on either side of the drawing, making it difficult to select objects to be calibrated. Selecting these objects in this situation, may be more easily done in the Drawing Data Manager.
