I’ve been using CAD for many years; my first experience dates back to 1988 when I sat down at a computer to work with CAD software. A few years ago, I read a review of TPC in a survey magazine and decided to try it out. I began with the Premium Edition, mainly utilizing the COGO functions for plotting deeds and plans, and I was genuinely impressed.
For several years, I continued to use the Premium Edition because my employers relied on CAD. Over the past year, I’ve started working independently and am now transitioning to using TPC [Professional] exclusively for my projects. While I don’t dislike CAD and am proficient with it, after three decades in surveying, I personally consider TPC a more effective tool for survey work—especially boundary surveys.
With TPC, you can immediately process deeds and plans and obtain practical results without needing to set up templates or objects beforehand.
