Save and Recall Table Settings in TPC v26.2

Beginning with v26 Release 2, Traverse PC adds the ability to save and recall table settings.

This works in a similar way to existing features like Traverse Drawing Settings and Traverse View Formats, extending that same flexibility to tables.

What’s New

You can now:

  • Save table properties under a custom name
  • Recall those settings later
  • Apply them to an existing table at any time

All of this is handled through the Table Properties dialog.

How It Works

After configuring a table the way you want:

  1. Save the table properties with a name
  2. Open another table (or create a new one)
  3. Recall the saved settings from the Table Properties dialog

The selected settings are applied immediately to the table.

Typical Use Cases

This feature is useful anywhere you need consistent or repeatable table formats. For example:

  • Creating similar output tables across multiple projects
  • Switching between different table formats for internal vs. client use
  • Reusing layouts for common reports or summaries

Instead of reconfiguring tables each time, you can reuse saved setups.

Consistency and Flexibility

Saving and recalling table settings helps maintain consistency across projects while still allowing for flexibility.

You can:

  • Standardize commonly used formats
  • Maintain multiple variations for different purposes
  • Update an existing table by applying a different saved configuration

Fits with Existing Workflow Tools

Traverse PC already allows users to save and recall several types of settings.

Adding table settings follows the same pattern, giving users another way to manage how information is displayed and organized within the program.

Summary

The ability to save and recall table settings is a small but practical addition in V26 Release 2.

It provides a simple way to:

  • Reduce repeated setup steps
  • Maintain consistent table formats
  • Quickly switch between different layouts
