TPC 2026 Release 2 adds several new Point Code tools requested by TPC users, giving surveyors more flexibility and control when organizing and managing survey data.
These additions improve how point codes are sorted, managed, and applied throughout your workflow.
Multiple Variants Per Survey Point
TPC now supports multiple variants per survey point, such as:
- FNL1
- FNL2
- FNL3
- FNL4
- FNL5
Any survey point containing multiple codes in its description can now be sorted into traverses for each associated code.
For example:
An OAK–TREE point can be automatically sorted into:
- the Oak traverse
- the Tree traverse
This provides more flexibility when organizing survey features and opens up new workflow possibilities for projects that use combined or layered point descriptions.
Point Code Properties Dialog
A new Point Code Properties dialog has been added.
This gives you direct access to all properties associated with a point code from a single location.
The dialog provides a simpler way to review and manage:
- point code settings
- symbols
- behaviors
- related properties
without needing to search through multiple commands or menus.
Automatic Survey Point Symbol & Size Overrides
TPC can now automatically override survey point symbols and sizes when sorting survey points into point code traverses.
This helps visually organize survey data as traverses are created.
The existing manual command remains available for users who prefer to apply settings manually.
Assign Point Code Traverses to Traverse Groups
Traverses created from point codes can now automatically be assigned to a Traverse Group.
For example:
- points sorted into the FNL code can automatically be placed into a “Features” traverse group
This makes it easier to organize larger projects and maintain cleaner project structures.
Alphanumeric Variants with Exact Match
Alphanumeric variants such as:
- SW1
- SW2
now work with [x] Exact Match.
This provides greater precision and control when sorting survey points into traverses, especially in projects that rely heavily on numbered feature variations.
Added “What” List Support
Point Code operations now support the same What list used throughout TPC.
This allows you to specify exactly which survey points should be included in a Point Code operation.
For example:
- select 42 survey points in Point Manager
- use the What list
- sort only those points into traverses by point code
The What list can also now be used when searching for codes used by a survey.
More Flexible Point Code Workflows
The new Point Code tools in TPC 2026 R2 are focused on improving flexibility, organization, and workflow control.
Whether managing feature traverses, organizing large surveys, or working with more detailed coding systems, these additions provide more ways to structure and work with survey data inside Traverse PC.
