Drawing Settings

Drawing Settings are global settings applied to a drawing.

They include Miscellaneous, Object Labels, Background Clearing, Dynamic Offset, Interior Angle, Leaders, Crows Feet and Dimension settings.

Having global drawing settings helps you keep drawing objects consistent but also lets you update the look and feel of a drawing without having to modify each object of that type.  So for example, change the settings for dimensions and all the dimensions in that drawing get changed.

Overriding Drawing Settings

Like Traverse Drawing Settings and Surface Drawing Settings, individual drawing objects can override these settings and also have any modified settings reset back to the global drawing settings.

Plan vs Profile Drawing Settings

Drawings have separate settings for Plan vs Profile mode.

When the Drawing View is set to Profile Mode in the View Menu, choosing Drawing Settings will display the Miscellaneous Profile Settings. (Professional Edition only)
